Chaillac town is 2 minutes drive away, which has a large lake for fishing and swimming, together with a children's play area, water shute and cafe. The town also has a museum, winery, butchers, supermarket, chemist, bank, post office, tabac, restaurants, cafes and bars.

The beautiful medieval town of St Benoit du Sault is just 10 minutes away, Poitiers 1hrs 20mins, Chateauroux 40 mins, Argenton sur Creuse 25 mins and Limoges 50 mins.

Events
Chaillac market/foire dates: 10/01, 10/02, 10/03, 10/04, 21/05, 20/07, 10/08, 20/09, 09/10, 23/11, 20/12. This is a very small weekly market every Saturday in the centre of town at the place du Bosquet.

The museum is open from 1st may to the 1st october, open every day except tuesdays, opening times are 10-12 and 14-18hrs.
